Hosted every year during the Kentucky Derby, funds raised at the Derby for Kids support a pediatric brain cancer research study. The Foundation has committed to a multi-year grant to support the work of Dr. Jeffrey Taub at Children’s Hospital of Michigan, in partnership with Dr. Rajen Mody at University of Michigan, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Hurley Hospital of Flint. Guests are invited to come in their best derby ensemble and enjoy a day at the races with Children’s Foundation.
To support a better future for Michigan’s families, The Children’s Foundation hosts a Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Summit: Investing in the mental wellness of our youth. The conference brings together community leaders, service providers, and families to listen, learn, and network with advocates on how to prioritize behavioral healthcare for children and young adults.
Jamie Daniels Foundation Celebrity Roast
This signature event, hosted by the Jamie Daniels Foundation includes some of Hockey’s greatest at a unique celebrity roast and fundraiser. The Celebrity Roast, developed to raise funds to support The Jamie Daniels Foundation that provides education, resources, guidance, and support to people battling substance use disorder so that lives can be saved and healing can be created within families.
