Todd Krieger named Chief Officer of Strategic Partnerships and Community Affairs

New Role to Focus on Developing State, Regional and National Partnerships

DETROIT – April 11, 2022 –

The Children’s Foundation announced today that Todd Krieger has been hired as Chief Officer of Strategic Partnerships and Community Affairs, a new position aimed at increasing the foundation’s footprint and impact to help more children in need.

Most recently Krieger served as Senior Director of Planning at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit where he led the organization’s planning initiatives, agency relations efforts and special projects. Core to his work was assisting Federation’s 17 constituent agencies reach and positively impact thousands of community members while also identifying areas of agency collaboration. Before joining Federation he worked in a variety of marketing, communications, and public relations roles supporting Rocket Mortgage, Microsoft and others.

“Todd’s experience, community connections and desire to improve the health and wellness of children and their families will help us extend The Children’s Foundation’s reach and impact,” said Lawrence J. Burns, president & CEO of The Children’s Foundation. “As The Foundation continues to grow and evolve, leveraging Todd’s expertise and experience will help us assist more children struggling with substance use disorder, mental illness, abuse and other difficult and serious challenges.”

In his role, Krieger will work with Burns and senior leadership to promote the mission of The Children’s Foundation and ensure it is a recognized leader in advancing children’s health and wellness initiatives in the state, region and beyond. He will focus on enhancing the Foundation’s community relations efforts and developing strategic partnerships that lead to greater impact in The Foundation’s health need priority areas.
