At The Children’s Foundation, we prioritize the health and well-being of children long before they are born. An expectant mother’s health is essential to that of her unborn child and during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, pregnant women must take extra precautions to protect themselves.
That’s why The Children’s Foundation has provided emergency support funding in the amount of $5,000 to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital. The funds provide approximately 100 blood pressure cuffs so pregnant women can monitor their blood pressure and vitals at home.
“Our number one goal is to always keep our patients safe, which creates unique challenges during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” said Luanne Ewald, chief operating officer, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital. “The Children’s Foundation’s incredibly generous support in this time of need has been essential. By giving patients their own blood pressure cuffs we can mitigate their need to come to the hospital. Thank you for supporting us and helping to keep our community safe at home!”
These times create new and unpredictable challenges for our community partners. As always, The Children’s Foundation seeks to support where we can.
