Ways to Give

Advancing the possibilites of philanthropy

The Children’s Foundation is trusted to manage over 400 funds, supporting individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofits.

We seek to advance the possibilities of philanthropy through a three-pronged, strategic approach:

  • Endowment for Kids: We build the community’s endowment for kids allowing us to invest in solutions addressing the most pressing issues facing kids, both now and as they change over time.

  • Building durable youth-serving organizations: We do this through our annual grantmaking and by helping select organizations establish and grow their own endowments. Learn more, here.

  • Tailored philanthropic services: We support donors that have specific goals about how they wish to improve the health and well-being of children

Individual Giving

Quick Giving

Many donors choose to give by personal check, credit card, cash, or gifts of securities. These methods are simple, fast, and allow us to put your gift to work right away. You can direct your gift to a specific project or let us use it where it’s needed most. Whether you give online, by phone, or by mail, we will send you a thank-you letter acknowledging your contribution.

Gifts-In-Kind

We also accept gifts-in-kind such as real estate, art, or jewelry. These donations may qualify for a tax receipt based on the fair market value, which is determined by qualified appraisers. This tax credit can help offset capital gains taxes, providing potential tax savings.

Major Gifts for Lasting Impact

If you want to make a significant difference in a specific area, consider making a major gift or starting your own fund. We’ll work with you to align your generosity with your interests—from supporting research to advancing early childhood health.

Major gifts can have an immediate impact and can also be endowed to provide ongoing support.

The Children’s Foundation offers many ways to publicly recognize your generosity, including naming opportunities.
