Metro Detroit’s RE/MAX FIRST realtors have a long history of charitable fundraising efforts ranging from hosting golf outings to their most unique and successful, the Angel Agent Program. Upon the sale of a home, RE/MAX Angel Agents donate a portion of their commission to The Children’s Foundation on their client’s behalf to directly support kids at Children’s Hospital of Michigan (CHM).
Since 2022, RE/MAX FIRST has raised nearly $160,000 to ensure CHM can continue pediatric cancer research projects and wellness programming that cares for the whole child efforts.
Their generosity enables increased access to clinical trials, schoolteacher support during long-term hospital stays, age-appropriate art and music therapy, and CHM’s annual Celebration of Life event. It is because of philanthropic partners like RE/MAX FIRST that these programs exist
“We try to do as much as we can not only as agents but as a company,” said Candice Thompson, realtor at RE/MAX FIRST who leads the organization’s charitable giving efforts. “We have always contributed to children, but the significance of the pediatric cancer program is something we all feel strongly about. We want to make sure every kid feels supported through their cancer battle – physically, mentally, and emotionally.”
