A new collaborative and transformative partnership will bring wrap-around healthcare services to 48,615 Detroit Public Schools Community District students by 2030.

“I’ve always been a big supporter of The Foundation’s work,” said Dickow. “The goal with this was to not only raise funds, but awareness about what The Foundation is doing.

Seventeen-year-old high school student Reem Siddiqui impressively continues her fundraising efforts in support of transportation for Sickle Cell Disease patients at Children's Hospital of Michigan. To date, she has raised $40,000 for The Children's Foundation:

For months, the Emerging Leaders devoted time, talent, and treasure, to recruit and lead a group of energetic, passionate, young professionals and parents who were enthusiastic about making Derby for Kids an incredible success.

“Life can be unpredictable,” said Shauna. “We want a say while we still have one.”

With generous donations from several Children’s Foundation Trustees, The Foundation established a Behavioral Health Scholarship in 2019 to be awarded annually. The goal is to support a student in Michigan pursuing a doctoral degree in a mental health field, specifically focusing on a practice that will serve children and adolescents in behavioral health.

Donors who generously support The Children’s Foundation do so in many different ways and forms, but what they have in common is that they are vital to The Foundation’s growth and impact. As the weather turned warmer, Maia Mordovanaki and Deena Kamali, both 9 years old, were beginning to think about summer plans. Together, they came up with an idea to have a lemonade stand to raise funds for children struggling with their health.
