Detroit, MI — The Children’s Foundation of Michigan is proud to announce the appointment of Alissa Novoselick, MBA, as Vice President of Finance & Administration, strengthening the Foundation’s executive leadership team as it continues to advance the health and wellbeing of children and families across Michigan. With assets of approximately $160 million, the Foundation awarded nearly $5.4 million in grants in 2025 to youth-serving organizations across the state.
Novoselick brings more than 20 years of nonprofit financial and operational leadership, with a career rooted in mission-driven strategy, financial sustainability, and community impact. Most recently, she served as Chief Financial and Operating Officer at The Empowerment Plan, where she led multimillion-dollar budgets, strengthened governance and technology systems, and supported strategic growth for a globally recognized organization.
In her new role, Novoselick will oversee the Foundation’s financial management, operations, and administrative functions, ensuring strong stewardship of resources in support of its mission.
Novoselick will work closely with Rick DiBartolomeo, who currently serves in the role and plans to retire in spring 2026. Over the coming months, DiBartolomeo will work with Novoselick to support a thoughtful and seamless leadership transition. The Foundation looks forward to celebrating DiBartolomeo’s contributions as he approaches retirement.
“I’m honored to join the Children’s Foundation of Michigan at such a pivotal time,” said Novoselick. “The Foundation’s commitment to creating transformational change for Michigan’s children deeply resonates with me. I look forward to partnering with the team to build financial and operational strategies that sustain impact and help communities thrive.”
In addition to her executive leadership experience, Novoselick has served as Founder and Principal Consultant of Greater Impact, LLC, advising nonprofits and small businesses on financial strategy and organizational sustainability. She also brings extensive governance experience, including her current role as Supervisory Chairman of Orsa Credit Union. In late January, she was appointed to The Empowerment Plan’s Board of Directors, reflecting her continued passion for the organization’s mission and steadfast belief in its leadership.
“Alissa brings an exceptional blend of strategic insight, financial expertise, and values-driven leadership,” said Andrew Stein, President and CEO of the Children’s Foundation of Michigan. “Her experience across finance, operations, and governance will be instrumental as we continue to grow our impact and steward resources responsibly on behalf of Michigan’s young people.”
Novoselick holds an MBA in Social Impact and Organizational Sustainability from Antioch University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She is actively engaged in her community and has been recognized for her leadership and contributions to the nonprofit sector.
The Children’s Foundation of Michigan is proud to welcome Alissa Novoselick to the organization and looks forward to the leadership and expertise she brings to advancing its mission.
