Youth Development

Youth Development

Youth from under-resourced communities benefit from opportunities to connect with mentors, explore their interests, and to develop skills and confidence to realize their full potential and to positively impact their families, communities, and society.

Our Impact

In 2021, nearly 10% of The Foundation’s grant awards involved youth development programming. These positive youth development experiences strengthen young people’s sense of identity, belief in the future, self-regulation, and self-efficacy as well as their social, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral competence.

The pair participated in Winning Futures, a multi-year workforce preparation mentoring program for high school students. Their progress was steady and consistent. Over time, Benny helped Adib with communication skills and confidence, making significant strides in a short amount of time. Today, Adib is off to college feeling confident and prepared for his future.
