Welcome to July, and to summer!
These are very busy times for The Children’s Foundation, but we remain in the swing of things and in many ways are using the great game of golf to further our important mission.
As part of our Spring Grant Cycle, we again are providing a grant to our partners at Midnight Golf. They continue to use the sport to provide wonderful work mentoring underserved high school students as they prepare for college and life.
Earlier this month, we were a primary charity recipient of Rocket Mortgage Classic. Throughout the year, we will work to grant funds raised from the Classic to Detroit-based partners as we break down the digital divide – a disparity that has been particularly magnified during this COVID-19 environment.
Later this summer, we will be a recipient of the annual Paul W. Smith Golf Classic on August 3 at the Detroit Golf Club. We are delighted to continue to work with our three partners providing much-needed funds for more than 55,000 children in Michigan. Well done to our partners Detroit PAL, Variety Detroit, and The Children’s Center. And a special thank you to Paul W. and Kim for continuing this important effort!
